X-ray Protection Doors
Vulcan X-Ray Protection Doors are designed to meet the requirements of the National Council on Radiation Protection (NCRP) for use in industrial and hospital applications. These doors provide a safe environment for hospital workers, frontline personnel, and individual operators by minimizing radiation exposure.
Available in single, double-panel, or sliding configurations, Vulcan X-Ray Doors are designed to accommodate custom door sizes, designs, and hardware configurations. Both steel and wooden doors are tailored to suit various customer and project requirements.
Features
Wooden frames are made with high-density solid wood and then lined with lead (1 mm to 6 mm thick) based on the radiation count.
Steel frames are made with 2mm-4mm thick galvanized steel as the outer skin, with rockwool infill, and then lead-lined based on the level.
Wooden shutters are made with particle chipboard, mineral core, and composite core. They are then lined with lead (1 mm to 6 mm thick) based on the radiation count.
Steel shutters are made with 1.5mm – 2.5mm thick galvanized steel as the outer skin, with rockwool infill, and then lead-lined based on the level.
Fire rated hardware complying to ANSI & British Standards can be accommodated.
Security hardware, ranging from single point locking to five-point locking systems, is also available.
Vulcan Doors can also be engineered to incorporate any customer-specific lock system.
Sliding mechanism can be manual as well as automatic with motorized controls. Depending on the radiation count lead line sealing are considered.
